Afghan airstrikes kill 10 militants in E Afghanistan

GARDEZ, Afghanistan:  At least 10 militants have been confirmed dead as fighting aircraft pounded Taliban hideouts in Gardasira district of Afghanistan’s Paktia province, provincial police spokesman Sardar Wali Tabasam said on Sunday.
Acting upon intelligence report, in the sorties launched late Saturday night in Sarkhilo area of Gardasira district, the militants weapon cache was also destroyed, the official said.
According to the official, ground forces arrested 10 more militants during the raids.
Taliban militants have not made comments on the report yet. (AGENCIES)

Traffic to ply from Jammu to Srinagar for 2nd consecutive day, no vehicle from Kashmir

Two-way traffic has been restored on the national highway, which connects Ladakh region with Kashmir while only one-way traffic will continue on historic 86-km-long Mughal road, seen as alternative to Srinagar-Jammu national highway. Oppn members stage walkout in LS over Unnao rape case issue

As soon as the House began day’s session, Congress floor leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury raised the issue during Question Hour. He insisted that the Home Minister Amit Shah should make a statement.
