RFL scam: Court extends till Nov 14 judicial custody of ex-Fortis promoters Malvinder, Shivinder

NEW DELHI: A Delhi court Thursday extended till November 14 the judicial custody of former Fortis Healthcare promoters Malvinder Singh and his brother Shivinder for allegedly misappropriating funds of Religare Finvest Ltd (RFL).

Metropolitan Magistrate Deepak Sherawat also extended the judicial custody of three others, Sunil Godhwani, Kavi Arora and Anil Saxena, till November 31.

On October 23, the court was informed that the settlement talks between the Singh brothers and RFL remained inconclusive as no proposal was given to the company by them.

Malvinder (46), Shivinder (44), Godhwani (58) and Arora (48) and Saxena, were arrested by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Delhi Police for allegedly diverting the money and investing in other companies. (AGENCIES)

Traffic to ply from Jammu to Srinagar for 2nd consecutive day, no vehicle from Kashmir

💻Jk News info 📰 Only Jammu to Srinagar traffic was allowed for the second consecutive day on Saturday on the National Highway, connecting Kashmir valley with the rest of the country, a traffic police official said. Two-way traffic has been restored on the national highway, which connects Ladakh region with Kashmir while only one-way traffic will continue on historic 86-km-long Mughal road, seen as alternative to Srinagar-Jammu national highway. Traffic official said for the second consecutive day today, only Jammu to Srinagar traffic was allowed. No vehicle will be allowed from opposite direction as only one-way traffic will continue to ply on the highway till further orders.
