This has reference to the news item ‘Real Kashmir down Chennai City at home’ DE Dec 27, 2019.
First of all, it is a good augary for the newly carved out Union Territory that sports activities have returned to the delight of sports lovers after remaining in limbo for almost 5 months in the aftermath of abrogation of Art 370. Though the stadium was not full to its capacity, as was expected the presence of 5000-6000 spectators is still quite reassuring that people of the Valley have turned in such numbers to support the local team in the bone chilling cold.
Second, the spectecular victory of Real Kashmir over defending champions-Chennai City has once again proved that the local team is emerging as a powerful football team in the country. All that it needs is supports from public and Government to keep the present momentum going on with out any break. Otherwise the team may lose its winning streak in the future.
There is great latent sports talent in the UT which needs to be tapped in the interest of the game and for the sake of the promising players.
The victory of Real Kashmir has brought smile on the faces of sports lovers once again after sports activities came to a halt abruptly after August 5, 2019.
The Real Kashmir team deserves appreciation for this achievement.

Traffic to ply from Jammu to Srinagar for 2nd consecutive day, no vehicle from Kashmir

💻Jk News info 📰 Only Jammu to Srinagar traffic was allowed for the second consecutive day on Saturday on the National Highway, connecting Kashmir valley with the rest of the country, a traffic police official said. Two-way traffic has been restored on the national highway, which connects Ladakh region with Kashmir while only one-way traffic will continue on historic 86-km-long Mughal road, seen as alternative to Srinagar-Jammu national highway. Traffic official said for the second consecutive day today, only Jammu to Srinagar traffic was allowed. No vehicle will be allowed from opposite direction as only one-way traffic will continue to ply on the highway till further orders. Oppn members stage walkout in LS over Unnao rape case issue

💻Jk News info 📰 NEW DELHI : The opposition members from Congress and other parties stage walkout on Wednesday in Lok Sabha registering their strong protest over the manner the Unnao rape case was being handled by the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh. As soon as the House began day’s session, Congress floor leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury raised the issue during Question Hour. He insisted that the Home Minister Amit Shah should make a statement. Amid ruckus as several BJP members raised objections to his remarks, the Congress leader while a CBI has been probed, he alleged that the ‘victims and the family members’ are getting threats. Speaker Om Birla said this issue was raised by the member earlier also. Protesting the conduct of the BJP members in the House and the manner the case was being handled, Mr Chowdhury said his party would stage walkout. DMK members also joined in the walkout.
