J&K Pre-Matric Scholarships (2020-21) – How to Apply, Eligibility, Rewards, Important Dates

Sub: Grant of Scholarship to ST students under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme “Pre-Matric Scholarship to ST students” for the year 2020-21.

 

NOTIFICATION

 

 

Applications are invited from “Scheduled Tribe” (ST) students of Jammu & Kashmir UT pursuing studies in Government/Private recognized Educational Institutions for class 9th & 10th for the year 2020-21 who intend to avail Scholarship under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme “Pre-Matric Scholarship to ST students for class 9th& 10th Only” for the year 2020-21. The ST students have to fill their application forms and submit to the concerned Educational Institutions before 31th of December, 2020.

The eligible students shall submit the application form along with the requisite certificates/documents to the concerned Head of the Institution who after proper verification and scrutiny shall forward these application forms along with recommendation of eligible candidates to the concerned Chief Education Officer. The Chief Education Officer concerned after verifying the forms along with relevant documents submitted by the Institutions, (Government/Private) shall further submit the application forms along-with recommendation to Deputy Director Tribal Affairs Jammu/Kashmir along with list of candidate (both hard/soft copy)

as per format (B) by or before 15th of January, 2021.

Traffic to ply from Jammu to Srinagar for 2nd consecutive day, no vehicle from Kashmir

💻Jk News info 📰 Only Jammu to Srinagar traffic was allowed for the second consecutive day on Saturday on the National Highway, connecting Kashmir valley with the rest of the country, a traffic police official said. Two-way traffic has been restored on the national highway, which connects Ladakh region with Kashmir while only one-way traffic will continue on historic 86-km-long Mughal road, seen as alternative to Srinagar-Jammu national highway. Traffic official said for the second consecutive day today, only Jammu to Srinagar traffic was allowed. Oppn members stage walkout in LS over Unnao rape case issue

💻Jk News info 📰 NEW DELHI : The opposition members from Congress and other parties stage walkout on Wednesday in Lok Sabha registering their strong protest over the manner the Unnao rape case was being handled by the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh. As soon as the House began day’s session, Congress floor leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury raised the issue during Question Hour. He insisted that the Home Minister Amit Shah should make a statement. Amid ruckus as several BJP members raised objections to his remarks, the Congress leader while a CBI has been probed, he alleged that the ‘victims and the family members’ are getting threats. Speaker Om Birla said this issue was raised by the member earlier also.
